Neerettupuram Boat Race, Alappuzha, Kerala (ThiruOnam Day - August/ September)

Neerattupuram, the location of the famous Chakkulathukavu, is 10 km away from Thiruvalla. The boat race is held on Thiruvonam day. 4-6 snake boats and various other boats traditionally participate in this race. The boat race starts after the traditional onasadhya.
