Sreesanth, The Young Cricketer of KeralaUp About Sreesanth Sreesanth's Full name is Shanthakumaran Sreesanth. He was Born on February 6, 1983 at Kothamangalam, Kerala. He played for Kerala, and Kerala Under-19s before his selection to the Indian team. He is also known as Gopu by friends and relatives. He is a Right-hand batsman and also a Right-arm fast-medium bowler.
His first One Day International was during India's match against Sri Lanka held at Nagpur on Oct 25, 2005. Sreesanth began to play cricket when he was 13. At 18, he got his first break when he was selected to attend the MRF Pace Foundation. Since then he has not looked back and has been a regular in the Kerala Ranji squad. Sreesanth currently plays for Indian Airlines and is based in Delhi. A highly religious person, Sreesanth is a regular visitor to the famous Sree Krishna Temple at Guruvayoor. | |
