- Tur dal - 1/2 cup
- Raw rice - 1/2 cup
- Black gram dal - 1/4 cup
- Green chillies - 8
- Asafoetida - a small piece
- Curry leaves - 2 stalks
- Oil for frying
- Soak the rice and the two dals in water.
- Drain and grind well adding the
green chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida.
- Put salt to taste and mix well.
- Make small balls of it, the size of a marble.
- Dip your hands in water and
flatten each ball with the fingers, fry to a golden brown color.
