Thanmatra
Tuesday, January 3, 2006 | MP

Blessy’s Thanmatra is a pure emotional family film with perfection at its best. The story is about a government employeed man living a happy family life with wife and chidren. But things take a turn when he is found diagnosed with Alzemier’s disease. The movie brings out some outstanding performances of Mohanlal. Actor Arjun who plays Mohanlal’s son has done a brilliant performance. Meera Vasudevan is yet to sharpen her skills. Nedumudi Venu in father role is moving. Songs are average. Sethu Sriram’s camera work is excellent. The story is well told with a simple theme. Blessy can take up all the credit for his superb work. However the movie cannot be counted as an entertainer and hence may fail to make its commercial prospects.
