K T Mohammed passes away

AJ: Renowned Malayalam play writer K T Mohammed (80) passed away at a private hospital Kozhikode. Mohammed is considered a symbol of unadulterated humanism. He wrote the screenplay of Malayalam's first colour movie, 'Kandam Bacha Kottu'. About 20 screenplays he has written for Malayalam films. Moreover he has moved his pen for about 40 dramas. He had held the post of Chairman to the Kerala Film Development Corporation and Nadaka Academy. He was a recepient of Kendra Sahitya Akademy award. He had also won several state government awards for his plays. His main works included 'Ethu Bumiyannau', 'Srishtti, Stithi, Samharam', 'Kadalpalam' and 'Turakkatha Vathil'.
