One killed, three injured in crude bomb explosion

AJ: One person was killed and three others were injured when a crude bomb exploded near a CPI(M) office at Kolari near Mattannur, Kannur. The blast took place when the four persons were allegedly making crude bombs in a vacant plot close to the party office. Police ruled out the possibility of bombs being hurled at them. The deceased was identified as Shajil (33), said to be a CPI(M) worker, police said, adding that he succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Kozhikode. Two of the injured were being treated at the Thalassery Cooperative Hospital while one at a private hospital in Kozhikode.
