Mammootty In & As "Pazhassi Raja"

Hariharan's Magnum Opus Pazhassi Raja will be the Christmas film of Mammootty according to the latest schedules. The film which will be completed in a whooping five crore budget will hit the screens on the 25th of December. The film which is produced by Gokulam Gopalan is now being shot at Thalasserry now, but will take another eighty-five days to complete. Mammootty has allotted more than two months to complete this historical which may well become a path breaking attempt in Malluwood. The film which is made with the aids of latest technical advancements is being shot with Pan Vision camera. Ace Tamil actor Sarath Kumar also debuts into Malayalam with this film playing Edachena Kunkan, the best friend of Pazhassi Raja. The film has a very big cast including Kanika, Manoj K Jayan, Biju Menon, Thilakan, Cochin Haneefa and Kalabhavan Mani.

After a long gap of 18 years, the classic trio - M.T. Vasudevan Nair, the greatest living writer in Malayalam, Hariharan, the master craftsman and Mammootty, one of the finest actors in the country are together again to make the historical Pazhassi Raja.

AJ: Anil C Menon's 'Collector'  which Suresh Gopi in th lead,going to start next month. The film which had him in the title role will have a schedule to be shot at Dubai. Suresh had been earlier with the director in last years 'Rashtram' which was a moderate success. The film scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman, who had earlier penned for  Suresh Gopi's 'Time'. Suresh Gopi now  busy in the sets of  'The Boot'  directed by  Shaji Kailas.

Kangaroo,the second film by Raj Babu after the hit Chess will start this month. The film which is produced by Lal Creations will have Prithviraj and Jayasuriya in the lead. The film is planned as a Christmas release. A one year old boy who is an important character in the film.

After a waiting for a decade, the dream team is back. The team of Lohithadas and Sibi Malayail who had been with the most saleable artist of Malayalam, Mohanlal to create some of the classics of modern cinema, is again thinking to make another with Mohanlal.The film has been tentatively titled as Bheeshmar, and the initial works on the projects are on. The movie will be produced by Johny Sagarika and will be the second project of Sibi with Lal in 2008.

Kavya finally will pair with Mammoottyin the new movie "Rikshskaaran" directed by M.Padmakumar. Kavya will be paired as the heroine for the first time opposite Mammootty. Kavya is playing the role of Advocate Indulekha in the film , which is expected to hit the floors by the last week of November. After this film she will again appear with Mammootty in the K.K Raajeev's Chempakaraman.

Popular teleserial director K.K Rajeev comes into big screen in a new malayalam film with Mammootty in the lead titled 'Chempaka Raman'. The film which will have Mammootty wielding the role of a drama actor will start this December. 'Chempaka Raman' will be the first release of Mammootty in 2008.  Mammootty who is at presently in the sets of Ranji Paniker's Shauryam.

Suresh Gopi In Rajeev Nath's Film

One of the frontline directors of Malayalam Rajeev Nath team up with Suresh Gopi in his new film on the world classic Casablanca, titled in Malayalam as Ezhaam Mudra. The star appears in the film as a naval doctor, as Rajeev Nath plans to recreate the magic with the Tamil Tigers as the backdrop. Mandira Bedi is now approached to enact the role immortalized by Ingrid Bergman in the original.

Suresh Gopi Turns Producer

Suresh Gopi has finally decided to produce a movie named as'Ezhaam Mudra'. The film will be directed by noted director Rajiv Naath. The film which is produced in the banner of Grass Hopper Films will also have the star in the lead. Scripted by Balu, the film will tell a story in the backdrop of Sri Lanka. Suresh is appearing in the film as a Navy Doctor, which will start its shooting by end of this month. The film which will be shoot at Colombo will have some of the sequences shot in the sets erected at Kovalam.

Suresh Gopi is now donning the role of a C B I officer. His new film
with Shaji Kailas C.B.I From Delhi will have him as the lead.The film
will be produced by Pyramid Saimira productions, who are planning to
produce another ten films for the year. The last film of Shaji Kailas
