'Passenger' and 'Currency' hit Box Office

Debutant director-script writer Ranjit Shanker's 'Passenger' hits the box office. He has given a totally different treatment for the film. Ranjit Shankar has tried to bring out a person's capability to react against the injustice acts around him. Dileep, Sreenivasan, Mamta and Lakshmi Sarma are doing the lead.
Swathi Bhasker's 'Currency' is also running sucessfully. Youngster's are the main audiece of 'Currency'. Jaya Soorya, Mukesh and Meera Nandan are doing the lead.
The sucessful running of these films proved that audience accept change in story and in treatment that was not there in the field for some years.

Ranjit Shanker's 'Passenger' is releasing today. Mamta Mohan Das and Lakshmi Sarma are heroines. Under the banner of Vijay combines S.C Pillai has produced the film. Anil Panachooraan has penned the lyrics and Bijibal had scored the music. Dileep and Sreenivasan were supported by Madhu, Manikuttan, Nedumudi Venu, Harisree Asokan, Jagathy, Anoop Chandran, Kochu Preman, Lishoy, Sona Nair, Krishna Prabha, Valsala Menon and others. Sathyanath was an employee of an export company in Kochi. He travels to and fro by train for work. One day, during his journey, he met Advocate Nandan Menon, who was going to Guruvayoor. Another day Nandan Menon met on an accident and Sathyanath helped him. Thus they became good friends. Nandan Menon's wife Anuradha was working with one of the channels. Sreenivasan dons the role of Sathyanath, Dileep as Nandan and Mamta as his wife Anuradha. After some months gap Mamta is engaging in Malyalam film. Now she is busy in Telugu. Mamta's another Malayalam film titled Musafir with Rahman as hero, has been completed. They were supported by Jagathy, Kalabhavan Mani, Maniyanpillai Raju, Harisree Asokann, Anoop Menon, ManiKuttan, Sona Nair, Lakshmi Sarma, Lakshmi Krishna Moorthy and others. Anil Panachooran is the lyricist and Biji Bal has scored the music. P.Sukumar is wielding the camera. Under the banner of Vijay Combines S.C.Pillai is producing the film.
