AJ: 'Parunthu' will open today at 72 centers and in major cities, the movie will be released in more than one theater and its first show is planned at Thaanoor P V S theaters on the very first minute (12.01) am today which is a record by itself. In Kozhikkode Apsara, it is planned for a 3am release and will be shown at 6 am in many other centers of the North. Mammootty is playing the role of Purushottaman, called by everyone as 'Blade' Purushu or 'Parunthu'. Scripted by T A Razzaq and directed by M. Padmakumar, the cast include Devan,  Sreelatha, Sabitha ,Saiju Kurup, Mamukkoya, Abu Salim, Kalyani, Lakshana and Jayan. Cinematographed by Sanjeev Shankar, Ranjan Abraham does the editing. The songs by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, Anil Panachooran and Kanesh Poonoor are set to music by Alex Paul. Boban is the art director and stills are by Sunil Guruvayur. The movie produced by Howly Pottoor under the banner of Dream Team.

AJ: Mammootty will start shooting for his new film 'Parunthu' from the mid of this month. The pooja and recording of 'Parunthu' was held last week at white fort, Kochi. Director Blessy lighted the lamps in the function. T A Rassaq has penned a character called Parunthu Purushothaman for Mammootty in this movie. Navaneeth Kaur to do the female lead of the movie that was earlier slated for Nayantara. The movie produced by Howly Pottur in the banner of Dream Team Productions will be directed by M Padmakumar. Lakhsmi Rai and Roma will appear this movie. Alex Paul is the music director while Sankeev Shankar wields the camera. The shoot for the movie will start at Kozhikkode.

AJ: M Padmakumar's new Mammootty film titled 'Parunthu'. The film in the scripts of T A Rasaq tells the story of Gillettte Purushothaman, a crude money lender with an iron heart for grabbing money by any means from his dealers. The film will also feature Nayanatara, Jayasuriya and Kalabhavan Mani in important roles. The music department of the movie will be handled by Gireesh Puthencherry -Vidyasagar team. The makers of this movie, Dream Team Productions are planning to get 'Parunthu' into theatres by the fourth of July.
