111th day celebration of the genuine hit of recent times 'KATHA PARAYUMBOL' was held at Gokulam Convention centre, Ernakulam. The Grand success of this film in Malayalam led to remake as `KUCHELA' in Tamil and `BILLU BARBER' in Hindi.

AJ: Mammootty's 'Katha Parayumpol' will now be remade into Tamil in
the title 'Kuchelan'. Rajinikanth will take on Mammootty's role in the
remake while Pashupathy will appear in the role that Sreenivasan has
done in the original. Simran is playing the wife of the Barber, which
was done by Meena. The film is directed by veteran P Vasu. The new
movie, which will be remade with suitable changes for the Tamil
audiences will be co-produced by Seven Arts and K Balachander's
Kavithalaya.
