Kalabhavan Mani celebrated his birthday on Friday at his native place in Chalakudy. In connection with the birthday celebrations, there inaugurated a social welfare scheme in association with the municipal council of Chalakudy which will continue one year. The scheme will render aid to poor families of 33 wards in Chalakudy town. Ten families of each ward will be included in an insurance scheme and five persons of each ward will get pension. Elder women and men of each ward will be honoured with prizes. Handicapped persons will get equipments. Artistes who are in poor condition will also get help. Free medical camp will be conducted in each wards. The office was inaugurated on Friday, which includes a library at his native place Chenath naadu. Actor Dileep attended the inaugural function.
