'Vande Matharam' In january

AJ: Mammooty's bilingual 'Vande Matharam' will make a release by the end of January. The film is produced by Henry under the banner of Pankaj productions which will also have action king Arjun in a surprise cameo. Directed by T Aravind, the film titled 'Aruvadai' in Tamil is presently in the dubbing stages. The producers are planning to make a simultaneous release for both the versions. 'Ore Kadal' Going To Release In Major Metors

AJ: 'Ore Kadal' is all set to be released in major Indian metros.
Shyamaprasad directed film, which was the opening movie for
the Indian Panorama's feature film segment in the festival will be released in Mumbai, Delhi and Calcutta, next month. The film,
sub-titled in English is already released in South Indian metros Bangalore and Chennai. "We got a decent response for the film,"
the director stated.
"We are leaving it to chance," the director said stating that investment to the tune of Rs 5 lakh will be going for the promotion and prints of the film at each centre."It is necessary to promote the film before it is released in the metros," he said. The
film based on Bengali fiction written by Sunil Gangopadhyay,
is set against the social changes brought about by rapid globalisation. It revolves around a simple middle-class homemaker (Meera Jasmine) and free-spirited economist (Mammootty).

AJ: The action star Babu Antony is again back to filmdom. The actor have a release next month 'K K Road', an investigative thriller. The cast include Karthika, Saikumar, Jagathy and Vijayakumar. Babu Antony is presently acting in the title role in the film Droner'. Apart from these films the star is being casted in a villainous role in a new tamil film titled 'Laadam'. Babu's elder brother Thampi Antony has already become a big name in Hollywood with better roles in a few English films. He is also the producer of Blessy's new film 'Calcutta News'. AJ: 38th international film festival of India inaugurated by Shahrukh khan, at Goa. The festival which will last for another 11 days will have around 200 feature films shown in various packages.Shyama Prasad's 'Ore Kadal', starring Mammootty and Meera Jasmine, will be the opening film in the Indian Panorama section.
Adoor Gopalakrishnan's 'Naalu Pennungal', based on four stories
of Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai, Lenin Rajendran's 'Rathri Mazha', Ranjith's 'Kaiyoppu' and Babu Thiruvalla's 'Thaniye', are the other Malayalam films selected in the Panorama.

Actor Ravi Menon Pases Away
AJ: Actor Ravi Menon, who got famous through 'Nirmalyam, passed away of cardiac arrest at the Alshif Hospital in Perinthalmanna. He was 57. He is a native of Palakkad Sreekrishnapuram. The preparations for the making of the film has been almost completed and shooting will begin in April in Delhi. Renji Panikkar's Mammootty film 'Raudram' which was earlier scheduled to get released this month end, shifted to January last.
Mammootty was keen to complete his Christmas release 'Katha Parayumpol' at the scheduled time. Moreover the fever that gripped Renji Panikkar also took another few days from the shooting schedule. Now that the film has been shifted, the distributors Marikkar Films are also feeling happy for they could stretch the run of their latest 'Nasrani' at least till the week of Christmas. Animation film on Lord Ayyappa
US-based producer Nalin Singh is planning to take an animation film on Lord Ayyappa. The new project which was just kicked off by the City-based production house Increation, in association with Sai Raksha Entertainment and India tales, will feature the story of Lord Ayyappa in 90 minutes. Titled 'Manikkantan' the plot will be narrated as seen through the eyes of a little girl and her pet parrot. The animation film will be directed by Reji Syane. Shaji Kailas- Suresh Gopi film 'Boot', shooting has completed in a record 22 days. The film produced by Pyramid Saimira in the scripts of Rajesh Jayaraman. The film is now in the post-production stages. The synopsis given to the press largely tells about the tragic love story between Bala and Honey, and no clues are given whether Suresh Gopi is playing a cop, or not. The film features only 15 characters played by Murali Maniyanpillai Raju, Krishnakumar, Raghu, Rajan P Dev, Riza Bava, Bheeman Reghu, Biju Pappan, Lakshana and Hani Rose apart from the lead. AMMA's Film Named As 'Twenty Twenty'
