Sreekumaran Thampi honoured

Veteran director and lyricist Sreekumaran Thampi was honoured by offering  'Guru pooja' by Swathi Cultural Society at Tagore Hall, Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. The function was inaugurated by Sports Minister M.Vijaya Kumar. Prof O.N.V Kurup in his speech  said, the songs written by Sreekumaran Thampi were so close to heart. He praised  Thampi a great poet with a golden pen that never runs out of ink. Actor Madhu said, the verses of Sreekumaran Thampi were the feelings we experience in our mind. A supplement  'Bhava Ganagalude Perunthachan' was released by Mayor C. Jayan Babu by handing it over to O.N.V Kurup. Madhu presented a  prize of the Society to Sreekumaran Thampi. The function was presided over by K.Raveendran Nair. Poets, litterateurs and actors attended the function.
