A charity foundation has started under the guidance of Mamootty named 'Care and Share International Foundation' for helping the poor children suffering from heart disease, based at Kochi. Children below 12 years of age from Kerala and Lakshadweep would get help from this scheme. In the first step hundred children would get benefit. For those who need surgery will be carried at Sree Chithira Thirunal hospital at Thiruvananthapuram, MIMS at Kozhikode and Amritha Institute at Eranakulam. The foundation has signed MoU with these Hospitals. As a start of this programme each hospital will carry surgery today (Thursday) for one child. Foundation would spare Rs. One lakh for each surgery. It will receive donations from interested persons to serve the purpose. The selection process of children will be done under the guidance of doctors from a panel. The foundation was inaugurated by Mamootty at Kumbala Ramada resort in Kochi on Wednesday.
