Khilafat, the film version of P.Valsala's novel 'Vilapam', started. Jifri Jaleel is the director. The story is based on a communal riot that took place in Malabar long before. Becker Kadavath has penned the screen play and dialogue. Bijoy Varghese George wields the camera. Under the banner of High Five Creations, F.F Hilari is producing the film. Casts include Manoj K.Jayan, Saiju Kurup, Jagathy, Janardhanan, Nishanth Sagar, Niyas, Suraj, Kozhikode Narayanan Nair, Anil Murali, Biju Kuttan, Zareena Wahaab, Zeenath and others.
