The release of Shaji N.Karun's Mamootty film 'Kutty srank' has got stayed by Kollam sub court. The court allowed stay by accepting a petition filed by A.R. Chandrasekhara Kurup and other members of the Azhakathu family. The plaintiff claimed that screening of some scenes shot at the ancestral home, deities placed in the Kalari and Sarpakavu would hurt them. They pleaded that those scenes should be removed from the film. Considering the case judge E. Baiju pronounced the stay on the release of the film. Kuttisrank is the first Malayalam movie to be produced by Reliance Entertainment.
