Calcutta News is a film directed by popular filmmaker Blessy. Blessy who had so far made films with superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal is for the firsttime roping in Dileep for his new film. As the name says the film told on the backdrop of Kolkatta has been exclusively shot there. Dileep plays the hero as a TV programme producer. Meera Jasmine is the heroine. Thampy Antony, produces the film under the banner of Kayal films.
