Padmarajan award for Zacharia and 'Madhya Venal'

Zacharia's story 'Alphonsamayudae Maranavum Samskaravum' published in Mathruboomi weekly has bagged Padmarajan story award instituted by Padmarajan Foundation Trust. Madhu Kaithapram's `Madhya Venal' was selected as best film. Best story award includes a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and statuette. Director of the best film will be given a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and statuette and screen play writer Anil Mukhathala will get a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a statuette. Awards will be given away on April 23, on the birthday of Padmarajan, at Thiruvananthapuram .The awards were announced by secrataries of the Padmarajan foundation trust, B. Babu Prasad, K.Padmanabhan and K.R Mohanan at Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
