Nadi Darshan at Valapattanam to woo tourists

The District Tourism Promotion Council(DTPC) at Kannur has recently launched a scheme called ‘Nadi Darshan’ to encourage the river viewing at the Valapattanam river and attract more domestic and international tourists to the region. The DTPC in a joint venture with the Kairali Heritage Resorts at Kattampalli has started the program which allows people to sail through the river in a Kettuvallam and capture the beauty of the backwaters, canals and explore the rustic nature. The river ride takes one from Kattampalli to Parassini and then back and further west to Valapattanam, Azhikkal, Mattul and Pazhayangadi and then to Kottappuram near Neeleswaram through Sultanthodu canal.
