Sharjah YMCA wins award

The first YMCA in the Gulf sector, the Sharjah YMCA has been selected for the K. M. Philip Award for Hope Generating Efforts. Mr. M. A. Yousuf Ali, Director of NORKA-ROOTS and Managing Director of M. K. Group won the 'Man of Excellence – 2005' award. Mr. Yousuf Ali's exceptional achievements in various fields including social service, communal harmony, and industry were considered for the award, said Mr. T. Thomas, National General Secretary, YMCA. The awards will be presented at the 150th annual celebrations to be held in Mumbai.
