Jobs in Gulf: No need for concern, says Mr. E. Ahamed
Jobs in Gulf: No need for concern, says Mr. E. Ahamed
Tuesday, September 13, 2005 | AA
There exists no immediate threat to the job prospects for Indians in the Gulf countries, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. E. Ahamed said. The minister was addressing media persons in Kollam recently. The demand for opportunities for 'Sons of the soil' has forced some countries to discourage the import of human resources. The unusual increase in the number of immigrants is another factor. However, this will not have any immediate effect on the job prospects of Indians in those countries. The Government of India is keen that the opportunities for Indian nationals should not be reduced, the minister said.
